Magandang buhay :)
At 10 am Sunday, we headed out for a walk short hike. It was one of those lazy days where we wanted to give our legs some workout without getting too exhausted. Our options were the narrow county road where we may encounter vehicles and people or the uphill path along the property boundaries that offers a view of the sceneries and landscape nearby. We thought the privacy up the hill would be nice, so we climbed the walkway on the east side of the house.
20 minutes later, we found ourselves resting under the tall trees and nibbling on some biscuits. Well, it was snack time after all, lol!
Funny but yes, we did that while enjoying the view. Then we talked about the younger trees in the distance that were dying. We thought they would be a waste if we just let them be until they rot. Without much deliberation, we agreed to have them cut down and use them for some DIY stuff in the storage instead.
Looking around, we discovered a tree trunk and the fungi growing on it couldn't escape my eyes. As expected, they suddenly became the subject of a wee photoshoot, lol!

We found more almost hidden under dried pine needles at the base of the trunk. And just in case you are wondering whether they are edible, I believe not!

Not only that we saw fungi around that trunk but tiny wildflowers too. Unfortunately, the phone camera couldn't take better macro shots so I took the snapshots in normal mode.

And just when we were about to get up and go on with our leg workout, the Farmboy noticed an insect crawling on one of the trees.
I played with it for a while (the husband's idea, lol). He said if I touched it, the insect would do some acrobatics😅. It got annoyed instead, lol!
What was supposed to be a short pause became a half-hour full stop because of these little finds. It was fun though and I liked it a lot.
Meanwhile, we are out early today and on the road for a rendezvous in the neighboring province. The weather improved so we thought a little adventure wouldn't hurt. I'm excited and looking forward to what awaits at our destination, but we will be having fun on the way. Will surely write about it on another day :)
