This was a very funny game. We both had basically the same idea and the game came to a stalemate at one point.

It's a Alpha/Beta/Chaos Tournament, Novice League, 38 Mana, with Briar Patch, Rise of the Commons (no Quora!) and Super Sneak. Nature Splinter only.
Super Sneak is usually quite the Melee game - but not with Briar Patch. Hence, we both chose the combination of Immortalis and Mushroom Seer, making it basically impossible to be hit by magic monsters – unfortunately, we both chose quite a few magic monsters. It was to be a long game!
I chose Mycelic Infantry in first position since it deals 3 damage, but only receives 1 from thorns thanks to shield. It’s quite slow, though, which was not fun against the flying high speed Peryton. A martyr in second position, and the Venari Seedsmith with Scavenge at the end – that would’ve been a mistake if the enemy had any melee monsters, since it would have killed the Seedsmith quite quickly. Psychic for heal, of course.
The enemy went with prismatic energy, a martyr, the peryton, psychic for heal, and the Javelin Thrower at the end. My advantage was the 3 melee damage and the 3 range damage compared to the enemies 3 range damage. The magic damage was useless throughout the whole game.
As you can see, the game was quite boring to begin with. The Infantry was dealt a total of 2 damage – one from the Javelin, one from thorns. Nothing much happened in Round 1.
In Round 2, both the Prismatic Energy as well as the Martyr were killed – and then it became really, really boring for 7 rounds. Damage, heal, miss miss miss, damage, heal, miss miss miss and a lot of 0 damage. A LOT. I was tempted several times to just press the “Skip to results” button, but I wanted to see it through.
Crucial was for the Infantry to land one hit – a 1 speed against a flying 6 speed. Who can calculate those odds? At the very end of round Round 10, it finally came to it. The Infantry placed a hit, and so did the Seedsmith – but the Psychic healed the Peryton up to 3 again before my Flinger could put it to rest. It missed anyway. I already saw the Peryton being healed up again when – what would you know! – the Infantry placed a second hit in a row! What are the odds, like really!
The rest was just wiping up the leftover monsters that were still ineffective.
Super Sneak is not my favorite – I never know if to choose melee, or rather go with magic. Usually, I pick the wrong one. But hey, I’ll develop a tactic in time.
Thanks for reading! Have a good day!
