First Tune Up!

This week It’s Y2K (2000’s) pop rock tunes. Starting off with 2005 and the band Panic At The Disco and the 2005 released A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. Ashlee picks the song

“Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have”

Gene picks the known hit from same album “I Write Sins Not Tragedies”

Second Tune Up!

Second album up is 2008 release Fast Times At Barrington High from the band The Academy Is. It’s mega big production and sounds like it has big hits but they never got the success the other two albums in this post did. Ashlee picks the song “About A Girl”

Gene goes with the song “His Girl Friday”

Third Tune Up!

After having major commercial pop success on 2005 & 2007 releases Fall Out Boy took a few years off after there 2009 record bombed commercially. They returned in 2013 with a pretty catchy record filled with cameos like Elton John & Courtny Love. They progressed past the simple pop label even in the 2009 album where they had Debi from Blondie on a track along with Elvis Costello. Ashlee picks the song “Rat A Tat (feat. Courtney Love)”

Gene goes with the song “Alone Together”
After a quick listen. Just thought it was catchy!

Sort:

The third tune sounds more interesting than every other one😆
