Not having control over your life sometimes consists of even just living in a country where the electricity and water are often cut off. I live in such a country. And then, apart from often rebelling against the situation, you simply understand that nothing depends on you yourself, nor on how much you yourself want to live normally. I'm sure a lot of people don't mind and don't feel the need to have any progress in life, and when they're born poor they expect to stay that way, but... not all people are like that, are we?
So yesterday during the last blackout, I was trying to just not think, if you think, you don't change anything, of course. You can only make things worse than they are. I just try not to think. And I think most people who live here use this very method.

Soul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you. |
