Presence of regression

It was quite windy yesterday and once again I felt how nice it is to have a roof over your head. And how hard it is to actually achieve that. I don't know what opportunities our parents, grandparents and their parents had, but it seems that nowadays the problem of not being able to secure your own home is very big.
I know for myself that I will never have my own home, but more and more often I see this impossibility everywhere, in the face of many other people. So how did our ancestors achieve this? My grandfather renovated his parents' house, but built an entire apartment in a shared apartment building in the city. My father has renovated this old house of his father and grandfather again, but he never had the opportunity to buy or build another home. Me even less.
Therefore, if I return again to my favorite subject of progress in a person's life, here it is even worse - a lack of progress in generations, and even worse, a presence of regression.

Hive.jpgSoul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you.
