The choice is (y)ours... all of (y)ours to freely vote (for)... or is it?
What does "I'm requesting that you support the Splinterlands proposal and also that you remove your vote from the return proposal" mean to you?

And there I was, thinking i could avoid politics by @pharesim
I've been voted into top20 just to be forced to vote on a Splinterlands proposal by @engrave
Many years ago I was asked to fork the Steem blockchain.
Here we are on the Hive Blockchain forked from Steem.
Decide for your self.
Intent to simply share information.
This seems to sum up thoughts of numerous simply with concerns of how the proposal is being proposed.
I thought that I was the only crazy that disliked the proposal… I think this proposal was the last drop that I needed to conclude that People don’t know how to write proposals, and in consequence people don’t know how to assess dhf proposals… if someone wants a grant to execute a project it needs to be detailed a couple of things… why your project is important, some background, what you foresee to conclude with that project and expenses discrimination. You cant say that you will need 500k USD when you dont know in what you are going to spend on that… how much in personnel ? Technologies needed to buy? Third party company hiring? When I saw a comment in the proposal authors saying that they don’t know exactly the costs and how they are going to spend that? Man… it could be Albert Einstein asking for a grant that I would still be against to do it. Sometimes dhf proposals looks a child play… and stakeholders think that hive tokens are like monopoly bank notes. I am not against the group asking the money, I hated the how mostly.

Interesting point about packs as well
This:
The fork certainly showed the flaws of staked governance. How to balance the stake of the individual to the desires of the masses. Not sure a solution can be found. That may be the reason for Dan walking away from his little "experiment".

Stake taken over by money, ninja attacks, early sales, and so on maybe.
I support you completely. This kind of quid pro quo politics is disgusting. We as a community should be above this. But human fucking nature... as soon as money enters a system, corruption follows. I already vote for you so I can't add anything for your display of honesty. But yeah, I really appreciate your independence.

If you don't like how hive is managed, buy more hive.™
I don't care what level they are on as long as I can provide liquidity to pools and dex's without kyc.
Aggie built that without funding and I use it daily.
Some great things on HIve, and more to come. Thank you Aggie for all you've done.
Sharing "light" on the matter.
IF he had received more support from the pyramid perhaps he would have used hbd rather than dec and the others.
An exchange using HIVE instead of USD (HBD) like most everyone else...
on another note, I really wonder how they blew all the money they made during their bullish times!?! They seem to have a rather incredible rate of cash burning. In so far I fully understand why you'd try to prevent more funds going their way... fass ohne boden!
Hive decentralized (or) bribing system (?)
That is some dirty move and pathological way to push the proposal, I'm wondering how many whales got hooked into that bribing system. Even meta social media like for like has better attitude. We are not talking about hundreds of dollars we talking about half million dollars for game played by bots - to make you understand it this is around 100 boreholes in Africa.
"Power corrupts and absolute power absolutely corrupts"
We have decentralized the central control point of power. Matter of who works together. There is power to change in the hands of the all within Hive.
"We" is used correctly here. We all need to remember that whatever happens on Hive is on us - thanks to us or our fault. We are responsible for the reliability and security of the platform, and by "we" I don't mean just witnesses, but all users. Everyone with non-zero HP is responsible for how Hive operates. What happened to @pharesim and @engrave shouldn't have happened, and it's really a shame to see this after everything we have been through. Hive is better than this.
by @gtg
Seems we all want Hive (obviously), and many want Splinterlands, a big part of us, and our ecosystem here on Hive.
I support the proposal, mainly because we're deep into splinterlands. But I support this attitude. I tip my hat to you that you weren't swayed by greed and stuck to your priorities. We need way more of this around here.

Democracy. Last seen maybe about 2000 years ago. Enter "money" around that same time thanks to Julius Ceasar and others.
It seems like the team might have bought some votes. This is not democratic approach.
And that's unpleasant, I believe the team will come up with their accountability on this end and clear this hastiness.
We're all expressing ideas as we work it all out together one way or another. However tied to stake deciding in the end.
The power of decentralized (freedom of) speech that we all send to the Hive Blockchain that is the real power carried forward in another form since the time of the entrance of Satoshi and Bitcoin into the "Matrix".
haha, yes @hallmann (Monty Python credit)
Keep staking your thoughts on our shared Hive blockchain.
