Watching the Netherlands vs. France at Sidewalk Cafe 't Vat in Paramaribo, Suriname
For some mysterious reason, I've now switched the blogs to the next day.
Yesterday, we watched the Netherlands play France at the European Championships. Most Surinamese people usually root for the Dutch or for our neighbours Brazil.
The Dutch team has featured a lot of players with Surinamese roots in the past. This tournament, a total of 8 players (van Dijk, Wijnaldum, Xavi, Dumfries, Bergwijn, Gravenberch, Malen, Maatsen) have family ties with Suriname. Of 2 more, it could be debated if you take 3rd generation into account.
Yesterday, I went 10 out of 20. A little better, but still tired.
And what that meant? Maybe, I'll share it tomorrow.
Or tomorrow will be a totally different freewrite. Who knows.
