27 days ago, I started a challenge in which I set myself the goal to power up 3172 Hive before the end of 2024. There were times when I thought I would easily complete the challenge and then others when I doubted it quite seriously.
Final step towards 72'000 Hive power
I had reached my first goal of having 15'000 HBD quite early in the year but then I was not very active and my other goal of reaching 72'000 Hive power seemed far away even a month ago. That was the reason to create this December challenge for myself.
Three days ago, I started a withdrawal of 180 HBD from my savings. I knew that I would get the same amount of interests today. Thanks to that and to some other income from hive-engine, I managed to power up 585 Hive today bringing my total to over 72'000 Hive Power. Both my goals for 2024 have thereby been reached and I'm quite happy about it. One year ago, I had 59'082 Hive Power and 13'322 HBD. I have therefore accumulated 13'000 Hive and 1'700 HBD during 2024.
What about 2025?
During the past weeks, I have been thinking about my goals for 2025 quite a lot and I have decided to set lower goals for 2025. The reason is that I want to focus also on other blockchains and ecosystems in 2025. While Hive will be my central hub, I believe it's a good idea to bring some diversification into my assets.
By the end of 2025, I want to own 80'000 Hive Power and 16'000 HBD. This is a plus of 8'000 Hive and 1'000 HBD. Even though the increase is much smaller than in 2024, it will still require a lot of efforts. The worst case will be that I reach my goals early and I will still be able to take it from there and if needed adapt them in time :-)
