I've been looking forward to the #hiverecap2023 update and I was so glad when I saw an author share her Hive recap, I quickly went to check for mine to see how well and how far I've come. The outcome isn't as expected both in the aspect that I've done really well than I thought and in the aspect that some cumulations isn't accurate to what I know it should be.
It's a new year with so many goals set to be achieved, what better way than to take a glance over how it was last year to avoid what should be avoided and stick to what worked for an even better result by the end of this new year.
So with no much talks, here is my Hive Recap 2023 summary!
My first reaction to the summary was "Wow", and then the next was "I did well!", this is because I didn't expect I would come this far when year 2023 started but here I am having results to show for it. The year came with all it's hurdles and challenges for me as a Hive user but I overcame and I have everyone wishing me well on this journey to thank for it.
I'm pretty sure the summary is quite explanatory but to be clear on how my year 2023 have been, I'll explain more using what you see on the image above.
How I went from reputation 69 to 74.5 through last year is all thanks to the support I get from followers and curators who are support to authors around the Hive globe.
I don't get how it was recorded that I did just 2 power ups when I actually made sure to power up every HPUD and only missed three to four days in my daily power ups, this calculation is totally wrong and I wish an adjustment would be made at least in the next Hive recaps updates.
365 days posting badge collected.
I have that hivebuzz yearly badge to thank for the number of posts I made last year. Being able to publish a post every day of last year wasn't so easy, I had my days when I didn't want to write anything because I simply lost ideas on what to write but somehow, something comes up when I think of losing the yearly badge because of it.
And there were times I published more than one post a day, ideas overflowing and I took advantage of it. Another reason my post numbers went up is my video making, I did a lot of videos last year but I never thought it was up to 93, that's a huge number. I'm looking forward to how many I'll make this year as I'll be focusing a lot more in video making.
I couldn't have felt motivated to continue without the curators.
I must say it was the part of the recap where they displayed the curators who supported through last year that got me wowed most, I couldn't believe I actually have that much support as they came in daily or weekly. Special thanks would go to Neoxian for the support and I'll always be grateful I joined the city where the chance to earn his votes is available.
More thanks to all other curators who kept supporting my contents and helping me keep up with quality while I stayed consistent. I know it isn't as much as some others do get but it is definitely more than a double from last two years.
I had shared my goals for this year about doubling my HP and that is because even before I saw this recap, I've made my calculations to find out that I met my goals and almost a half of it was added before the year ended. With this result from last year, I think doubling my HP this year is very doable if everything goes well.
I have been saving that amount of HBD but not anymore but it isn't the end, I plan to keep saving for any reasons that may come in the future.
Last year's result is serving as a big motivation and boost for me to face this year and do even better. The goals are set, actions are taking place and I'm looking at achieving my goals while exploring more sides of Hive, taking care of myself and resting more when I can.
