Namaste everyone. Good evening and welcome to my blog. It's been a while. This week we've been asked to share how we came onboard on hive.
I heard then about hive from a close friend and then from my sister. I was not even keen to hearing about it . I felt it was all a waste of time especially when I was told we had to write. It was kind of a turn of for me because I really didn't know how to write that time. It was so hard for me.
It was @uyobong that onboarded me on hive. He didn't tell me to come to hive to write to earn. He presented hive to me in a way that I couldn't help but come onboard. It was really hard for me to scale through at first, all frontends looked so strange to me. I usually had problems with fixing tags, I always forgot and because i didn't know how to write then, the word count was always low and I was so discouraged.
But I was assigned a teacher to help me pick up the pieces. @etorobong helped me with a lot, she helped me know the little things I had to know about hive at first. After some weeks I noticed I had started writing well, my word counts increased and not only that I noticed i had started enjoying writing, something I never knew I could do.
It was all exciting because I could talk all about my day, adventures, pictures taken and there were alot of communities to explore. I made a new family, a lot of friends on the platform and I was motivated seeing myself doing better. Hive is indeed what the world needs to know out there. A place for both the young and old, intelligent and learners, male and female. Its been a year and some months. It's been an amazing journey so far. I'm grateful.
I'm encouraging everyone to join this contest
