The Hive community is a home for all who share the vision of a secure, innovative, affordable, scalable and decentralized blockchain. It is a home to those who envisioned a monetary system that caters to an unbanked and underbanked world more than traditional blockchain systems can offer. It is a home to those who wanted to build businesses that could only exist on a new technology chain with a large community. Individual researchers and coders have found a home in the Hive network. Their discoveries have led to the creation of dApps that benefit not only themselves, but also contribute to the growth and prosperity of the entire community.

Now, the Hive community is home to technology-driven dApps, providing the world with a platform to explore the potential of the Hive Blockchain and its native currency HIVE.

Today I'm excited to introduce you to my favorite dapp, the first fully decentralized and secure all-in-one dapp on the Hive Blockchain. The INLEO frontend is my favorite dApp and platform on the Hive network. There are several reasons why INLEO is the go-to dapp for me, which I'm going to share in this blog post.

Understand that favorite does not mean best, but choice. INLEO is my favorite Hive dApp.

What is INLEO?

Inleo is the first one-stop dApp built on the Hive Blockchain, serving as the main gateway to everything Hive. As a frontend, Inleo allows users to engage in microblogging and long-form posts to connect and build an audience and following.

Inleo also has a decentralized exchange called LeoDex where users can easily exchange tokens without the need for an additional Hive dapp. Additionally, Inleo has a community known as Leofinance, a community dedicated to educational financial content and support for those new to Hive.

By integrating all of these essential features in one place, Inleo simplifies the Hive experience by removing most or all of the barriers of complexity that users normally encounter when using standalone applications. In a nutshell, Inleo is a blogging, threading, token trading and community building application on the Hive platform.

Features I like to use on Inleo

Microblogging

Inleo has a microblogging site called Leothread that allows short posts of up to 240 characters, similar to X (Twitter). This short form writing is perfect for sharing quick updates, thoughts or links throughout the day. As someone who likes to keep in touch online, I appreciate being able to easily connect with others on Inleo through occasional threads. The interface works well for mobile so I can post on the go. Threading has helped me get my work out before others, make connections and followers because people can easily discover my work.

Creating Long Form Posts posts

While creating threads is great for casual sharing, long posts are the main reason most people are on Hive. I love writing long posts everyday and Inleo frontend is my place to write long posts. Inleo's long form editor supports posts of any length with formatting options for images, headings, tables and more. This allows me to write my articles and publish them in any community I choose.

I love the experience of switching between microblogging and long form posts within one frontend and it makes writing very fluid.

Decentralized Exchange LeoDex

LeoDex is Inleo's decentralized exchange for trading native HIVE, LEO, and other cross-chain coins and tokens. As someone who loves trading Hive, I appreciate having a clean DEX connected to the frontend to easily exchange my tokens.

The newly redesigned LeoDex is now multichain, allowing for seamless bridging of tokens and coins from other blockchains to Hive. The LeoDex interface makes trading simple and straightforward even for newbies.

Easy login and Sign Up for New new Users users

Onboarding is critical to bringing fresh blood to Hive. Inleo has made the process very beginner-friendly with multiple sign-up options. Old users can sign in using their existing Hive account, while new users must use any of the registration options for quick access.

Inleo signup options include using an X account (Twitter), a Google account (Email), creating a Hive account directly. These three registration options ensure that no potential user is lost during the registration process. This allows people new to Hive to get started without going through all the hassle of creating a Hive account conventionally. The ease of signing up is one of the reasons I still recommend Inleo to anyone looking to join Hive for the first time.

Get Rewards with Native Inleo Token LEO

Inleo has its own platform token called LEO, which is used to reward content authors, strengthen the leofinance community, power features and incentives within the leoverse. Users can earn LEO tokens by using the frontend to publish their posts in the community they want. LEO tokens can also be earned as rewards for contributions such as creating threads, comments, upvotes and providing liquidity on LeoDex. This reward system is a motivating factor for users to stay active and frequently engage with the platform.

What to Do should Inleo Varnish Suddenly

Inleo is still a relatively new dApp on Hive. However, the development of Inleo within its period of existence has been very commendable to not think of it going into extinction any time soon or never. Being on the Hive Blockchain ensures that even if the dApp stops operating today, users' Data and funds are SAFU.

Since all posts comments, votes and other on-chain activities are recorded on the Hive Blockchain, users' content will remain accessible through other frontends. If Inleo vanishes today, ecency will be my choice for writing long form posts. Also, ecency now have a similar feature of Inleothread called Waves. That could replace Inleothread as a microblogging option for me.

Hive keychain has been my favorite dApp for accessing my funds because Inleo doesn't have that feature, so I won't worry about my funds.

Finally, the smart contracts of LeoDex are open source and community govern. If the Inleo team should stop operating the Dex, the community can choose to take up the maintenance or fork the contracts' code to continue building on the progress. That will ensure users can always access their funds.

Moreover, while we cannot ascertain the longevity of the Inleo dApp, the development and continued upgrades to the application solidifies users' trust on the platform going into the future.

Conclusion

To wrap things up, Inleo has become my go-to dApp for all things Hive thanks to its one-stop shop and focus on user experience. Combining microblogging (threading), long form writing, decentralized exchange, and community support in one place removes a lot of the friction that exists when using separate applications.

Inleo's built-in reward system and native token LEO motivates me to continue using the dApp. I also appreciate their friendly process for beginners and the helpful Leofinance community for guiding new users. Having all the core features integrated in one place makes my work on the Hive platform run smoothly every day.

By any chance Inleo vanished, users have several options for accessing their data, and to continue their Hive activities unhindered.

All in all, I highly recommend Inleo to anyone on the Hive platform. Just try it. The all-in-one approach will make Hive as fun and rewarding for you as it was for me.
