Even though my body is still recovering from the flu a few days ago, I'm still enthusiastic about creating the best content I can share for you. I actually like dogs as pets. But I once had a dog and it didn't last long. My dog died, so I was traumatized by keeping a dog and couldn't bear to see my dog die again. Rather than being sad, I think I won't keep a dog for now. It made me quite traumatized and not ready to take the risk. So, maybe keeping another animal would be better.
The first Flower horn fish we had. The type of this fish is Golden base. The color is strongly orange dominant with a big head on it. It's beautiful, isn't it?
This time I really want to share a story about my pet fish, more precisely the Flower horn fish. How? Do you guys know it? Have you ever known this type of fish? Is it possible that you like it and keep it in your house?
Keeping pets at home is quite exciting and keeps us from getting bored. That's one of my entertainments at home. Actually, this fish is my husband's pet, who has loved keeping Flower horn fish since he was little.
In Indonesia we call it Louhan fish. Louhan fish or Flower horn fish is an ornamental aquarium fish that has a bright color pattern, usually red or orange, and as the name suggests, this fish has a distinctive lump on its front head. The bigger the bump on the head, the more attractive it is to look at and the more expensive it will be on the market.
The Flower horn fish is genuinely known for its immense beauty and is believed to bring an immense amount of good luck and a lot of love to its owner. People say that Flower horn fish can create a pleasant environment and happy atmosphere in the house and provide health in the owner's house. So what are you waiting for? My husband has been keeping Flower horn fish since 2003, at that time Flower horn fish had just arrived in Indonesia and the price was still very expensive because they were still imported from Malaysia. Nowadays, this fish is widely cultivated by Indonesian breeders.
There are 2 types of Flower horn fish, the Kamfa / Cinghwa type and the Cencu type. If the Kamfa type is more dominant in color, the eyes are white, the pearls are large and the fins and tail are fused like a fan and the color is two tone (red & yellow), the Cencu type usually has red eyes, small pearls, and the tail and fins are not fused like the kamfa, and the color is only 1 tone (dominant red).
After not keeping Flower horn fish for a long time since school, my husband bought an aquarium online according to the size he wanted and kept Flower horn fish again since the Covid 19 pandemic so that he wouldn't get bored at home. At first, my husband bought a Goldfish because he wanted to try raising Goldfish, but after a while the fish died because it turned out that it was not easy to care for.
After that, then my husband bought Flower horn fish again after not keeping them for a long time. Well, this is the first Flower horn fish my husband bought, the Kamfa f3 type, he bought it online. When purchased it was still 10cm in size. So, after keeping it at home, my husband started to develop this fish.
Flower horn fish's food varies, including pellets, frozen worms/blood worms, and also shrimp. This is an example of a food concoction for Flower horn progress, using freshwater shrimp mixed with head booster powder for the bump head, and the red one is shrimp mixed with Carophyll / fish coloring.

At first, I didn't like Flower horn fish because my mother used to keep the fish but they were ugly, the color was black with dark stripes like sick fish, but after seeing the results of the progress of my husband's Flower horn fish, which at first was normal after being developed, it changed to better than before. It became amazing. Since I found out that Flower horn fish have their own art, I really like them. There is a lot of beauty that can be seen from the Flower horn fish, the large bump on the head, lots of shiny pearls, the striking red color, black markings in the middle of the fish's body, and the tail fins that can be fused.
So, these are the results of some of my husband's pet Flower horn fish which have been in progress.
This is the first type of Kamfa F3, at first it wasn't red and had a big head, and this is the result after progress.
This is the second Flower horn type of Cencu. At first I bought the 10cm size and it is big now.
This is the third Flower horn of the Kamfa F2 type imported from Thailand.
My husband bought 6 of them and kept them since they were 2 cm in size.
There is another Flower horn fish, given to me by my husband's friend because the fish was sick and he couldn't cure it. His friend gave up and finally gave it to my husband. The fish was black and looked stressed. It didn't want to eat anything for a month and the fish had white stools. After being kept by my husband, this fish was treated with fish medicine and cared for. Initially, this fish had no changes at all. It had been a month since the fish still won't eat and my husband had almost given up on the fish. Then, my husband thought of concocting a homemade medicine for the fish's stomach because the problem was its bloated stomach. After being given medicine concocted by my husband and injected into the fish's mouth regularly twice a day, the fish finally started to get better and wanted to eat.
At first, the fish looked like this. The color was dark and looked so sick.
This is the result of the fish when it healed and becoming a gorgeous fish.
The conclusion is that if we are patient and diligent to keep the fish, we will get good and satisfying results. If you like pet fish, I recommend keeping Louhan / Flower horn fish because this fish is a beautiful art fish to look at and enjoy. The treatment is also not difficult and the most important thing is that we are patient and painstaking. We will also get surprising results because this fish can change from time to time in its color, head and pearls.
