eBay Update

Okay, so I thought I'd do a little bit of an update here about how things are going with the selling. It has been fairly decent in the last couple of weeks.

I only have two different types of things I'm selling at the moment, games - of all platforms - and Halo Mega Bloks sets.

All of the different things are doing well, before, I had sold more money's worth of Halo stuff, but in the last few weeks the games have absolutely flown out and now they've surpassed the Halo stuff.

The Games

So, I have been selling a bunch of the Xbox 360 games, and I also sold a few PS3, a bunch of PS2 games, and even a few PC games, even though I don't have too many PC games up there.

Recently, I decided to put up all of my PS1 games. Some of which were fairly valuable. I put 5 up one evening, and the following morning I noticed that they had a bunch of views and a bunch of watchers. One ended up selling, and then another 5 went up that day, and the following morning I woke up to a sale of 2 games, and that person asked if he could buy another 3 and have them shipped together.

I put them all in a box and sent them off. Then the next morning, another 2 sold, one to Ireland, and one to Spain.

It has gone well, and this week I'm officially in profit. From everything I spent on everything I have, I'm now paid myself back, and from here on out, everything I have left - which is a lot - is all profit.

I have about 91 items up online, and have another 200+ to list.

Halo Stuff

There is a buyer ready to purchase a large vehicle, two small vehicles, and a few sets, and he wants to purchase them all at the same time, and have me send them to him in one package.

I'm delighted with that, and it'll be worth a fair few quid.

I do have other stuff I'm ready to put up there, but I don't have them complete yet.

All in all, it's going really well, and I'm delighted with how it has gone.

I've gone through some fear - especially in the early days - where I wondered if I had overdone it with the purchasing and if I was even able to make money back, and here we are now.

I am delighted about it all, and I love the whole process of seeking stuff out, negotiating the buys, cleaning the stuff, photographing, researching the price, selling and then sending it out. The whole process is great, and I really love it.

LEO Power Up Day - September 15, 2024

That's fantastic news. Personally I was also worried that you'd be spending too much on stock and that's never a good business decision, great to see it's paid off

It got fairly addictive, if I'm honest, and while I'm glad about most of the deals I've done, and the potential turn around for each purchase, I do think I need/ needed a bit more discipline to not overspend.

I've gotten better now, and I'm willing to bargain more, and walk away if the price isn't what I'd like it to be, and I walk away without fear essentially too, as I have plenty of stuff to keep me busy for the foreseeable.

Nicely done!

That’s exciting man! I’m glad you are finally in the profit zone, just make sure to take your time and keep the profit going. There are going to be chances where you can make more and do that when you can but don’t get greedy.

Also determine when it makes sense to make some upgrades to things but don’t do it until you feel like it will be worth it. Such as the label printer we talked about before.

Stoked for you man!
