That’s a pretty wild situation but sadly I don’t think it’s too uncommon in a lot of places. There are simply people who are just nasty and have no compassion for those who are trying to learn. I really dislike those situations but they are also very important learning opportunities. You will now be more cautious and aware of situations you are getting into at various levels, work and otherwise. Yes it was difficult but I think you handled it well and got the right mindset, going through legal route for such a nasty group.
