When I was young, I have always wanted to grow up so fast because I felt adulthood was sweet and interesting. In the movies I’ve always seen, adults could take whatever decision they want and do whatever they want to do.
I even realized that their parents don’t get to beat them anymore unlike me then that my mum used to beat me almost every now and then. So being an adult has always been one of my greatest dreams.
What can you spot or notice here? I think you could notice the fact that I was not satisfied with being a child so I wanted to grow up very fast.
When I started growing up, I began to pay little bills and that was where the adulthood problem started. It was kinda sweet at first because I was only paying bills but not working for the money. My parents gave me the money so there was nothing to worry about.
I was growing so fast and the bills I had to pay continued to increase too so I had no choice than to face them because they are inevitable.
At some point, then money I was getting wasn’t really enough for me and I could not continue to have fun the way I used to.
Take a look at me now, I’m fully an adult and I’ve got so many things on my neck and even on my head and everything I’d need to be doing will require some amount of money from me. This isn’t just me but for everyone especially we adults who are the ones to pay the bills.
If I want to look good, I gotta pay for it. If I want to go online, I gotta pay for it. It’s just like we’re paying to do every damn thing and this now makes me wonder if this is how the world is supposed be.
If you’re an adult who pays bills and you sometimes think about it very well, you’d get to realize that you’re paying for almost everything in this life and the only thing you’re getting for free on earth is breath.
Right now, there are times when I go a day without stepping my feet outside but my account balance is going to decrease. It’s crazy.
Now, what’s adulthood? Is adulthood usually about paying bills all the time or what exactly?
Do you also think this way? Is there any other solution to the rate at which the world economy is failing and how we are paying bills?
