Nothing Hollywood About This Van!

Well Hello There Peeps!

Enjoying Work Still?

Meh we just got to hey! We just got to!

It's a funny thing when people are predictable and it's even more hilarious when that prediction comes true!

The Hollywood Van as we call it!

We just knew these guys are going to bugger us around, we knew it and I'll tell you why we knew it!
See they had the transmission at a different workshop and when they brought it back in they just wanted a quick fix and we told them that's not what we're going to do.

What we're going to do is remove the transmission and tear it down and assess what needs to be done. Not what you tell us needs to be done.
A warranty is given if we do what we said needs doing, no other way!

Just Look At This!

It doesn't even look like someone worked on this!

This might be my biggest problem with both vehicles coming in like this and clients that are hot heads thinking they know what they're talking about.
You sure do know what you're talking about when your car looks like this and especially when you bring it to some shop to fix it!

It really baffles me a great deal! I mean why are people the way they are? Do they think themselves funny or something?

A Blurred Mess I Know!

Well after a HURRY UP, HURRY UP and a once more HURRY UP!
There she is being made mobile to get it out of the way to make space for some other vehicle!

Now she's going to be pushed about for weeks... months... sheesh I hope not years! Until the client decides that he wants it fixed! What a way to go!

The irony of the situation is we knew this was going to happen and I mean who can blame them, if you just spent a ton of money "fixing" it and the next shop asks you a ton of money to fix it. I'd want to cry to be honest!

But with that said if you bought a burger from McDonalds and it's not what you expected, you wont be getting a free burger from KFC right?

Madness I tell you! MADNESS!

I get this kind of clients frequently a the shop too, main reason why we dont take diagnostic from outside other mechanics, with time you develop a spider sense for this kind of clients the moment they start talking red flags everywhere, after a quick inspection some times I just tell them I dont have space at the shop because over time its more the hustle of getting their quick fix done for real besides most will keep asking for discount of complaining about the price, stay strong 💪

That is exactly what I'm talking about! They want it pushed in between all the jobs and then they want a massive price cut🫠

We shall see what happens, Bossman did mention something of them supplying a transmission that we need to fit. But that will also lead to no garuantee... so they are still paddling in the same boat!
I'll keep you updated though! 🤣🤣

Have a great one bud!

At some point, I would put up a sign and point it: “We’re going to check no matter who looked at it.”

I think they try blowing smoke because they assume the job is simpler than it is. Even if it was a single problem, no one’s going to ignore a fire in progress, just to make sure another minor task is complete. They oughta humble themselves and take the council, but we don’t live in that kinda world.

Well that would actually work real nice! Then they can't say anything from the get go 🤣🤣

They are definitely trying to blow smoke and they do think it's simpler than it is. But then why nkt fix it yourself if you know the problem 🤣

We just got to accept that people think they know best themselves.... who can blame them? We all feel the same way even though we lead different lives!

That wisdom in the last sentence made me vote before I even wrote back. Well said.
