How are my friends? I hope you are having a great time today in Buskeria. Well, and how can you not be having a great time if we are talking about the best game of Hive, Rising Star. Well fellas, today is Friday, the last day before the weekend arrives, I think it's the day we all love the most haha😀. You know this means that most of you won't have to go to work tomorrow or in the case of students it means that you will have 2 days off from school. Although of course I don't think they will be free from extracurricular tasks haha, right.

Getting to the point friends today we are going to see 2 things, these are my usual sections and that most of you already know. But as there are always new players I'm going to remind you what they are about. In the first part I'm going to tell you some personal opinions and a brief review about some recent music news. Also in the second part we will see my section that I call “The recommender”. In that section I am going to show you the cheapest playing cards of the day. In words they are the cheapest because they cost the least and offer you the most. Now that I have given you a little introduction we can begin, I hope you like it.

Well, folks, let's start first with my musical opinions, haha, I think I should change the name of this section and remove the word news. Well today the topic is related to a band very dear to me obviously, but of course to millions of other fans, I'm the only one right haha😅. I'm talking about OneRepublic. The thing is that they recently released the video for Sink or Swim. If you don't know it, this is one of the songs from their new album Artificial Paradise, an album that I personally told you about when it came out at the time. If you don't know the album itself came out months ago, but they are still going strong.

In the sense that they do not stop working on new projects. At least I never imagined that we could see a video of this specific song. The truth is that I was very surprised. I'm sure more than one of you were surprised as well.

The video, let's see... it's pretty cool. If you haven't seen it, which is probably the safest thing to do, then I'm going to describe it to you a little bit. If you have seen it then this will already be familiar to you. Well, imagine this, Ryan Tedder, the vocalist, lying in the middle of a skatepark, that is to say lying face up on the track and while around him there are a bunch of skateboarders passing him doing tricks. If you do not know this (skaters) are those who get on a kind of board with wheels and juggle in the air and do tricks. The truth is that by now it's hard not to know this, the internet is literally full of these types of videos haha.

Continuing with the video the thing starts super relaxed so to speak, but then it gets intense as the whole band starts playing in the middle of the track with several people doing the tricks on their skateboards around them. The truth is a very nice choreography and even interesting as there are smoke explosions and other effects. In one part the skateboarders fall down and give each other good blows, acted of course haha😀. Nothing more real than that.

I really liked that the video has a 90's vibe. If you're from that era you might notice it right away or if you just like retro. For example, the fashion of wide pants or as we say in our country “bell-bottoms” are present and of course the way of dressing denotes it too, the backwards cap is an example of that.

For the end I have left for the end a part that most of you like, the meaning of the song. Well, the title says it all, Sink or Swim, that is, do we sink or swim? The message is clear, but I'll explain it just in case. The song is about facing problems. The lyrics are very emotional, as they talk about those times when the tide or problems come in and you don't know if they are going to carry you away or if you dare to jump in and see what happens.

I think we've all been in that situation at some point. I like that the song addresses the issue of that uncertainty that a relationship gives you, or anything that you don't know if it's going to go for the better or you're going to go under at once. In simple words the song describes those moments when we have to choose whether to go on or let ourselves be defeated by what is holding us back. If I tell you the truth it is a subject that connects a lot with me, and I think it will with a lot of people. Especially because it is something that we all live many times.
