in Rising Star Game9 days ago

Good afternoon to all my dear friends of Hive, I hope you are all very well. How are you all doing here? I am really happy to be able to share with you another time, because I know that we always have a good time talking about our favorite things or what we like the most. Today, I bring you a couple of little things that I think you will be interested in, but before I start, I have to tell you that yesterday I didn't have a new post because I had a complicated day haha. It turns out that I went to do more paperwork again and it took me all day. I got home late and then guess what, there was no electricity. So I couldn't use my equipment to write.

But well that was yesterday, and today fortunately I was able to be back with you. Today I am going to show you some music news and also my opinions about them. After that I will show you my updated chart with the best charts of the day. You already know how this goes, I'm always looking for the best options for you to make the most of those Starbits. I hope you find them useful, let's get started.

My friends You see, there is an artist that I have been following for quite a while, and I think that many of you also know him, well at least I guess so haha. If not, don't worry, I'll tell you a little bit about him. It's Justin Quiles. I think the guy is amazing, he has something in the way he tells stories in his songs that really gets to you, you know? Like he manages to connect with you, and that's hard to find nowadays, I think. I think he bases his songs very well on what happens in life, both the positive things and the things we see every day that are not so positive. So he looks for a way to take the good out of the situation.

The thing is that Quiles released a new album a few weeks ago that, in my opinion, is very interesting for several reasons. First, the name of the album is Permanente, a name that at first made me wonder, what does that mean? But after listening to it a couple of times, I think it fits perfectly. The word “permanent” is something that stays, something that doesn't go away, and I feel that with this album he wants to leave a mark. I don't know, maybe I'm getting too philosophical, but that's the feeling I get. I'm sure everyone will see it differently, as always happens with music.

What strikes me is that this album comes out just when he celebrates 10 years in music. Ten years is already a long time, I have not listened to all his works obviously because there are several, but I can say that at least I have listened to the most popular and famous of his career. About the 10 years one can perhaps think that it was a coincidence, but, honestly, I don't think so. I think he did it on purpose. This way he kills two birds with one stone, that is, he celebrates his anniversary with a new album and at the same time he makes sure that people notice him. I mean, it makes sense if you think about it. It's good marketing, don't you think? Haha, at least I see it that way.

And well, going into the album as such, it seems to me that it is very well balanced. It's not one of those endless albums with 20 or 30 songs that make you feel like you're never going to get to the end. But it's also not so short that you're left wanting more. There are 11 songs, which, for me, is the perfect number. Like to listen to it all the way through without feeling like you're getting exhausted. For some of you this detail may sound absurd and in a way it is haha. It's just that I'm a little weird, don't pay too much attention to me.

Another interesting detail is that, unlike what happens with many artists today, Quiles did not fill his album with collaborations. In fact, there is only one, with Rawayana on the song “Boom Boom”, which is good, but other than that, the man decided to go it alone. It's not something you see a lot in urban music, where there's always someone collaborating with someone else. It's refreshing, really, because this way we can hear more of what he has to offer without so many distractions.

Now, I'm going to talk about my favorite songs from the album, because, well, I'm sure we all have one or two that stick with us more than the others, it's something that always happens haha. In my case, the ones I liked the most were “Su Gato” and “Tu Ropa”. Both are in the urban genre. I think the rhymes are very good and above all well thought out. If you don't know this is a very important point in rap as such or hip hop. These 2 songs have their influences and I reiterate that I think they are very good.

Friends then with this we finish today's news, I hope you liked it. If I had to give this album a score I would give it an 8/10, because I find it interesting and well done. I could give it a higher score but I think an 8 is right. However if you already listened to it and you think it is a 10 I would like to read your opinion, so you can leave it in the comments, I always read them and answer. Now we can see today's cheap cards, they are very good.
