Happy Tuesday to all my dear friends, I hope this week is being excellent for everyone. Today I join you once again to continue learning together, both me from you and you from the recommendations I share here. On this occasion, I bring you a very interesting musical recommendation, as it is a song by a famous singer from Spain that you may not know yet. Also, don't miss my usual section of card recommendations, there I will present some of the most outstanding cards of the day in our beloved game Rising Star, I say outstanding because they are the ones that offer you the best features at the lowest possible price. So let's begin.

Friends, as I was telling you, I want to start by talking about the song I want to recommend to you today. The song itself is as famous as the singer himself, so it is very possible that at some point some of you have heard it. I say this because at one time this song was everywhere, and that is in Spanish, although on YouTube there are many versions in different languages. I am talking about the song “Súbeme la radio” by the singer Enrique Iglesias. Have you heard it yet? Well, in any case, if you haven’t heard it, you will be able to do so in a few moments because I am going to leave you the official video of the song, plus a version of the song that I really like, which is for solo violin, without a singer, which I think is also worth listening to. So don’t go away if you want to see it.
The original version, that is, the official one, came out a few years ago, which is to say that it is not that recent. At least in my country, it was impossible to avoid not coming across it at some point. They used to play it on the radio, 😂, excuse the redundancy and coincidence 😅. It was also used a lot at parties and things like that, you know what usually happens when a song goes viral. Until then I didn't know much about Enrique's career or music, I think I can say that that was the gateway to later discovering his other works that are also very good or superior to this song.
The song itself tells the story of someone trying to deal with the pain or grief of a breakup. So far, it's all very typical, right? The thing is that the protagonist doesn't want to face the void left by the other person and that's why he instead tries to fill that void in music, or with music, whatever you want to call it. I think that's where the idea of turning up the radio comes from, as the name of the song says, because by turning up the music in the literal sense you eliminate the silence that comes from being alone. I think that at the time, people really liked the song partly because of this message. Although of course the strongest part of this song isn't the lyrics, which I'm not saying are bad, but I'm referring to the fact that the rhythm part is what everyone liked the most.
Yes, because it's a very lively song, despite the subject itself, which may seem a bit redundant or overused, it makes up for it with the fast rhythm it has. So I think that makes it different from the others and in a way that's what helped it go viral at the time. From my point of view, and this is my opinion on the meaning, I don't apply it to love, which is the central theme of the song. I like to interpret it in another way because I think the lyrics are very open and fit with other situations. I'll just give you a quick example, problems. That is, when we have problems we can turn to music as a form of escape. I'm sure that for more than one of you at some point when you felt bad because of problems and listened to a song the stress disappeared for a few moments.
Well, that's my way of seeing the message, I don't apply it to love, although of course it can be applied to that. 😅 I don't think I need to say it, but of course that doesn't solve problems, or whatever you apply it to, but it can be a way to cope better. It's worse to stay bitter at home, music is much more relaxing than many other things.
You know this also reminds me in a way that we all have "radios" if we can call them that. I mean when we don't want to think about something, it can be what I said before or work, video games, social networks or any other hobby. If I start mentioning them all I think we won't finish today. 😅 I mean anything that helps us escape from reality like the radio does in the song. But of course it is important to maintain a certain balance in this and we should not abuse this help, because if not we will never get out of the problem, I think the best thing is to face it and then use these measures to cope with it.
You will tell me what you think about this in the comments. For now all that remains is for you to see the 2 videos that I promised you at the beginning. The first is the official video and the second is a version of the song that is done on violin that is also very pretty, consider it a bonus. After that I leave you with the recommendation of cards for today.
