In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Also, I will include the statistics I collect daily from Rising Star to keep you informed.
After I finished going through the hundred songs provided by Spotify that I listened to the most in the last year, I have thought of adding songs of my choice from my "Like" list that has more than 1000 songs. The last song I talked about in my last post was: Take The Red Pill: Billy Korg and Winkandwoo
Eres para mi: Julieta Venegas.
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Eres Para Mi of the mexican artist Julieta Venegas. In recent times, I have become quite fanatic of the Mexican artist. In Argentina, not many artists from Mexico are consumed, however, Julieta Venegas is the exception. In her heyday in the 00's, she was one of the most listened artists in all of Latin America, and has even done many collaborations with Argentinean groups such as Los Autenticos Decadentes and Coti. Recently, while researching a little more about her, I found out that she does not live in her native country, but is currently residing in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Julieta Venegas was born in 1970 in Long Beach, California, United States, but her family, of Mexican origin, soon returned to Mexico. She is one of the most prominent pop and alternative rock artists in Latin America. “Eres para mí”, a collaboration with Chilean singer Anita Tijoux, has become one of Julieta's most popular songs, included in her album Limón y Sal, released in 2006. Limón y Sal has been critically acclaimed and has received numerous awards, including the Latin Grammy Awards in 2006, consolidating Julieta as one of the most influential artists of her genre.
Before giving the winner of this night's drawing. The new format will be similar to the one we used some time ago, using the Hive Tools application. However, the application didn't always work, so this time we will be using a Discord bot that is in charge of returning a winner from among all the comments on a Hive post.
