Today I had plans to take photos of images where the color would stand out, in such a way that the harmony of the different shades on display could be appreciated, but that was not the case. On the contrary, I wanted to display these photos in black and white because I wanted to focus on showing the harmony of the dark tones, just as it is usual to show a bit of shadows within photographic compositions, and it was meritorious for this case where these elements are fundamental to the composition.
The motifs are different but they are composed of people, some nature or even a poster with its respective shadow. In any case, it is part of the work of visualizing these images in monochrome, thus giving a greater inclination towards that perspective of a world without colors present although in reality those colors do exist.
Perhaps there could also be an interesting point in these color photos, but in my case I did not see it that way. As I took these photos, I perceived them as perfect black and white compositions. On certain occasions, taking advantage of the geometry within the frame, that geometry and shapes that are created with shadows and embrace the motifs present.
All photographs are my own.
