Hi all 👋🏻
Let’s update you on PART 4 from 11 today, our adventure to our new home 🏡 and country 🗺️
These 11 parts will be about our move “driving” ourselves to our new COUNTRY 😊 of residence. Some parts will include some subtle hints, via text or photo 😅😉 so pay attention and see if you can guess where we are heading for!

Are you ready to come along again and find out everything from this epic adventure?
Today’s selection will be of 59 photographs.
Date: 1 February 2024
The Photographs in this post are all taken with my iPhone by me 📱🤓
LETS START NOW!
As I did in the last 3 parts to know how many kilometres we will drive in total. I take again a photo from the dashboard and will do so every part of the journey.
We start today at : 127.599 km
It’s a bit more than with what we ended in our part 3. I have been visiting friends and family in The Netherlands 🇳🇱 for a few days and will not include those km’s driven in our grand total 😎
We saw in the Netherlands windmills, cathedrals and interesting buildings, while taking a break from… driving. Are we really? 😂😂 we are still driving to friends and family… lol
Our journey start today in The Netherlands 🇳🇱 and we will drive further along our route.
Where do we go next…? my detour will go onto our original route 🗺️ further now.
The morning starts hazy and I see a church in the distance.
Driving through villages in The Netherlands 🇳🇱 we see more windmills 😎
I had to post some letters on route at a post office 🏤 ✉️📮 so we stopped for a short time. I walked past a flower shop and couldn’t go by without taking some photos of the spring flowers 🌷
Beautiful 😍 I can’t buy some as the car is too full hahaha 🤣
We drive further and I take some photos of interesting signs 🪧
Wild life can cross, so be careful 😎 it’s a cool sign I must say and new for me. They looked differently when I lived in Dutchyland.
For the southerners of the Netherlands… it is #CARNAVAL soon, so you see the carnival colours everywhere 🎉🎈🤡 do you see it?
Red, yellow and green ❤️💛💚
Now we gone through some small villages we hit the motorway 🛣️
Following the signs northbound 😉
For most of the day, the speed you can drive is limited to max 100km/h to provide better flow in this small country 🚗🚗🚙🚙🚕🚌🚐🚛🚚
I saw this interesting art work next to a bridge 😊
Going off route again for 10 minutes to drop something off at a friends work, next to Eindhoven, I saw this statue 😎
Let’s zoom in a bit 😎
Such a cool work of art, don’t you think?
Back to the motorway 🛣️ and off we gooooooo 😁
The roads are easy to drive around this time. Not many traffic jams luckily… it is almost 12:00h now.
The sky is busy… so many lines… 🤔
Haha do you see the tractor on the roof of the building?
In the Netherlands we have many bridges over busy roads just for the local wildlife. They can cross that way safely… it’s planted on with plants and grass…
Not sure if this was one of those bridges… but you notice them around.
We cross some cool bridges ourselves too. We are still in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 here.
It’s a large one.
Following Arnhem now…
Some more cool #artworks next to bridges.
And along the roads 🤓 the form changed as we drove past.
Hubby is driving all day today as I had some trouble with my back. So the photos are taken by me today 😎
I see Arnhem in the distance going over another bridge.
Traffic is getting more busy too now.
Beautiful view from here 😊
And the sign we follow next… 🚗🚗 vroom vroom…
More windmills here and large farmhouses.
Some birds flew over, I just capture them in time 🐦⬛🐦⬛
We are off the motorway now.
A stunning windmill 😎
The cloudy sky makes for a lovely photo 😊 my favourite photo of the day!
If you look very closely… those 3 sheep 🐑 in front of the windmill are no sheep… but large rocks with black parts attached to them. Very funny 🤣
We drive and drive…
I see some more signs for the CARNAVAL, it doesn’t go much further into the Netherlands… as it is celebrated mostly in the southern parts of the country.
If you look closely you see a bird of prey in the tree top. I was too late with zooming in…
Where do we go next?
Hhhmmmm the roads are changing as does the landscape 😎
Do you see what I see?
We are crossing into our next country 🤓
Now we are in #Germany 🇩🇪
So far we have driven in Ireland 🇮🇪, France 🇫🇷, Belgium 🇧🇪, The Netherlands 🇳🇱 and now we reached Germany 🇩🇪
5 countries in this road trip so far 😁 awesome!
Let’s continue… as we haven’t reach our next accommodation yet. 🚗🚗🚗🚗
The road signs are so different.
The roads are luckily very smooth…
It is rather #interesting driving in Germany 🇩🇪
For those that have driven in Germany know 😉
One can drive really fast there. If you try to take over a truck with 120 km/ h you have to be careful not to be hit by a much faster car in the back… that drives closer to 160 km / h or + hahaha 🤣 just crazy sometimes. It’s like standing still on the road when they pass by even if you are going 120 km/h.
We have a car fully loaded and are therefore heavy so the car can’t pull up fast… lol
Trucks passing by each other sometimes too…
We are entering some longggg roadwork 🚧 here…
It seemed to go on for ever 🤔
Crossing some more cool bridges.
Finally we are off the motorway and back to the inland routes… my favourite roads to drive 🚗😎
Going through small villages. I see a mural on the left but had no time to catch it well.
Tree lined roads with birch 🌳
Cross roads… let’s go left 😊
We are almost there… a few more towns and forests to go though.
Different kind of windmills now 🤓
They are everywhere we are driving towards now.
And we reach our next accommodation for the night.
We have a living room… kitchen…
Bedroom and a bathroom.
It’s so cute… the owners changed their basement into a living accommodation and rent it out.
Some beautiful details all around 😊
Also… sadly the internet or mobile reception was not enough here to upload any photos so I had to wait a few days. Until I could update you more again.
So let’s look at how far we have driven in this part.
The meter says : 127.911 km
What means we have driven 312 km along the road🚗…
Adding the first total we get : 2,053 km in 5 days 😉
The route (ish) we took, we went closer to Enschede 🇳🇱 and avoided most of Germany as the roads would have been very busy around Düsseldorf especially now they are changing bridges there.
I hope you enjoyed coming along for this part and the previous parts crossing 🇮🇪🇫🇷🇧🇪🇳🇱into 🇩🇪. Stick around to see what will happen in part 5 😁
Join me again… 👋🏻😊 as it will get even more adventures as we go along 🗺️
