Today I took a dozen of my most recent close-up photos and spent about 4 hours abstractedly editing them, looking at them and enjoying each one. Today was a nice morning, I did all this after coming back from working out a bit and having breakfast.... So I invite you all to check out my photos from today here on #Hive!

Hoy tomé una docena de mis más recientes fotos close-up y estuve cerca de 4 horas abstraído editando estas, mirándoles y disfrutando cada una. Macro and close-up photos are particularly exciting to work on in the editor, as they often have a wonderful universe of shapes, textures, details and patterns which are sometimes unnoticeable when we are taking the photograph. This is especially true when it comes to photographs of nature subjects. Perhaps this makes me spend more time editing these photos than when it comes to street photography. It is really quite a ‘little journey’ to do this kind of work from time to time.

Las fotos macro y close-up som particularmente apasionantes al momento de trabajar sobre ellas con el editor, pues suelen tener un universo maravilloso de formas, texturas, detalles y patrones los cuales son algunas veces imperceptibles cuando estamos haciendo la fotografía. Esto es especialmente cierto cuando se trata de fotografías hechas a sujetos de la naturaleza. Quizás esto hace que yo invierta más tiempo editando estas fotos que cuando se trata de fotos de calle. En realidad es todo un "pequeño viaje" hacer este tipo de trabajo de vez en cuando.

If we then add to this type of photos the conversion to black and white, we have the perfect recipe to obtain images full of great visual eloquence and, sometimes, an exciting level of abstraction? Can you ask for more from a photograph?...

Si entonces a este tipo de fotos le agregamos el convertirlas a blanco y negro, tenemos la receta perfecta para obtener imágenes cargadas de gran elocuencia visual y, en ocasiones, un nivel de abstracción apasionante... ¿Se puede pedir más de una fotografía acaso?...

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.

NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografías capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape 3.6.3.
