As mentioned in recent posts, we attended an international show-jumping championship in June.
The horses we saw were something out of this world. Muscular, powerful, beautiful...those words don't even come close to describing those animals.
And seeing them in action was just beyond description! The teamwork, bond, and relationship between horse and rider is something you have to see for yourself to really appreciate!
But two riders were of special interest to us in particular!
Oliver Bishop is the son of the owner of the company at which my wife works. Oliver has made a name for himself in various horse riding disciplines.
The other rider is his girlfriend, Kerry Muir, who is also a very successful rider in her own right.
Today's photos will be of Kerry Muir while she was taking part in this championship.
Here she is coming in toward her first obstacle.
An intense moment before the jump...Kerry and her horse focused on the jump ahead of them!
And over they go!
After spending some time on the far end of the arena, she returned toward us. She did this jump coming toward us.
I felt the next photo would look nice in black and white...
Clearing another jump coming toward us again!
Then they hit the ground and as if in the same motion, turned toward the last jump before she ended a spectacular round.
And with that, I will end today's post. In my next post, we will look at Oliver Bishop's round.
Thank you for reading my post! I do appreciate it!
