I have shared some images of the sun rising over the ocean on the east coast of South Africa in the past.
Today, we are moving a little more inland to enjoy the arrival of a new day in a different environment. If you have followed my posts lately, you would have noticed that we recently spent some time in the Cumberland Nature Reserve. Always exploring and looking for new places to enjoy nature, we only discovered this reserve recently, after our daughter went on a hiking trip with some friends in the reserve. So, this was our first visit to Cumberland Nature Reserve and will not be our last!
The reserve is just outside Pietermaritzburg, Kwazulu Natal, about an hour's drive west of Durban in South Africa.
At first, I thought I wouldn't be able to capture some nice sunrise images, as it was very cloudy and it looked like we wouldn't be seeing the sun. But then the clouds started opening up and it created some beautiful colors.
The first photo was taken while we were still in the camp where we spent the night.
Another shot I took, while still being in the camp.
For the next photo, I focused more on the clouds and the beautiful colors appearing in the sky.
We then left the camp, going for a short walk in nature.
It was a beautiful morning, with no sound other than our footsteps to be heard.
Looking out over some beautiful landscape scenes along the way.
The next photo, the last one for this post, is my favorite photo from the walk.
And that's it for today, folks.
Thank you for reading my post! I do appreciate it!
