This is another unusual set of photographs considering what I usually do, although it is not far from it. It shows the traffic on Cabildo Avenue in the Palermo neighbourhood in the city of Buenos Aires at times when there are a lot of cars and public transport.
On the other hand I wanted to take pictures of some buildings in the surroundings of where I was, I was on a first floor and my intention was to capture the buildings as close as possible.
I thought or rather I wanted these photos to have some geometry, I wouldn't really know how to express it but I imagined lines, squares, dots and curves as is the case of this photo below, which in fact is a curved building in the shape of a C in a brutalist style.
You can see on the left and right side "lines" that would be the windows, the flats in the middle and in the centre a column that divides both sides of the structure.
For this next photo I noticed that one side of the building had shadows and the other side had light, so I decided to capture that contrast in combination with the windows on the left side with the blinds down and the four balconies on the right side that only received shadows.
Now we go to something more modern, one of the buildings destined for corporate offices and which in fact was recently built. Talking about geometry and shapes, I liked those three white lines which divide the floors... You can see rectangular shaped glass windows and other squares at the top.
For a change between buildings and traffic, here is a girl crossing the street on the pedestrian crossing, I like the way her shadow can be seen, and different points of additional shadow generated by trees.
Finally another picture of a person walking through the neighbourhood but this time in black and white, so I can consider that this set is somewhat varied or with certain themes and concepts. I hope you liked it!
That's all, friends! Thanks for stopping by and appreciating.
