We continue with the series of reflections and street photography but today I made a small variation incorporating different adjustments in the edition. There is something in photography called Moody, I have explained it before, an editing style that seeks to play with lights and deeper, darker tones, depending on what color you want to handle, I have chosen a bluish tone for this series.
This is the entrance of the "Facultad de Derecho" station, line H of the Buenos Aires subway. Here I did a low angle shot where I focused mainly on those arches, including in the center of them the LED sign that indicates the operation of all the subway lines, plus everything that can be seen in the frame.
This photo is quite interesting, although I couldn't capture the reflection very well, the scenery is striking. A girl with a boy in front of her walking around the station, leaves on the water and a dramatic sky.
The bridge of "Figueroa Alcorta" avenue.
I think this photo would not express the same if I had taken it without the reflection, I would not even have tried it from this angle. It is one of the shots that I liked the most of this tour and I thank that gentleman who was crossing the bridge for making my composition more interesting.
There are photos that simply should not have an explanation, but should be left to the opinion of those who observe, it seems to me that this is one of those photos.
What was it that caught my attention to take this picture? Honestly the colors of the mural and all the trees above, I knew I would get the same in a reflection and I thought it was a good idea to try it, the Buenos Aires convention center sign is a perfect addition.
This is a more enlarged view where you can see the mural I mentioned before, part of the subway station and the stairs that take you right to the bridge that I also described before... The bridge that man crossed, this bridge 👇🏻
Only this time we go to the bottom to try to get a different angle and appreciate the colors and tones, another perspective, part of the empty avenue and the park behind it.
Right next to this bridge is a bike rental station "Ecobici". I didn't spend much time here, I just wanted to take a couple of pictures because for these cases I like to use a fixed lens on my camera, an 85 mm is the perfect one or a 50 mm in this case.
I still decided to take these pictures but I'm not even sure if I liked them, what do you think?
An additional fact...
I think that the places in the city have a special time or moment to visit and have good results in our photos, there are places that you have to go when there is rain, others in the golden hour, some with an intense blue sky, others with soft light of the sunset, not all photos are the same at different times of the day. This happens to me with this place, every time it rains is when I usually visit it.
If you liked this set of street photographs with blue tones, leave me a comment. I hope you can choose which one was your favorite.
My pretty friend @erikah is it possible that you like some of these photos? 🙏🏻❤️
