Hi friends,
Water is an essential good for life, it is also for me an essential good for my photos, since I am passionate about photographing reflections on water.
During my visit to the Alhambra in Granada a couple of months ago, the guide told us that water in its various presentations is one of the most valuable assets of the place, as we will see it as a vehicle to join the beauty of the place as for example in the Nasrid palaces of Comares and the Partal.

But the importance and beauty that water gives to the Alhambra is not only presented in the form of pools or ponds, but also in fountains such as the Fountain of the Lions.
This fountain located in the palace of the lions is one of the iconic fountains for its sculptural beauty and also for its complex mechanism that works in a closed circuit mechanism in combination with the canalizations of other fountains that are nearby and that makes us reflect on the intelligence of the Arab architects who inhabited the place many years ago.
But outside the area known as the Nasrid Palaces, water continues to have a major importance in the Alhambra, as we can see in the gardens of the Generalife, both forming pipes and fountains in the garden.
As in the fountain of the Generalife palace where the smell of orange trees along with the water gushing from the fountain, despite visiting the place on a very hot day, gives us a moment of coolness.
And finally, we would like to point out that water is not only present in liquid form as a vehicle for the beauty of the place. But from the gardens of the Generalife you can see the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada, which is the natural source of water that provides the wonderful Alhambra in Granada.
I hope to read you soon.
Best regards.
