Hello Hello to all you wonderful Hivians
Happy New Year
It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes with you!
It is also a holiday here in Scotland, the second has always been a holiday. Traditionally The New Year and Hogmanay was always a far bigger holiday than Christmas up here. Not so much now, Scotland is dying when it comes to traditions.
That slogan was used for a couple of years. more wasted money by the Scottish government.
I shan't go on a moan but it did remind me of one Hogmanay many moons ago when I saw Annie Lennox and Big Country play in Aberdeen.
@ablaze started #ttt 136 weeks ago! Go check out what it is all about on his latest post Bob Red Hot Chili Peppers for Three Tune Tuesday - Week 136 - 10 HBI shares to be won!
Do go support @ablaze as without him we would not have this mental fun musical activity that you can win HSBI from! I am happy to be one of the TEN sponsors and it is kinda fun checking out music from all over this global village of ours!
Long live #ttt 😁🎼 and #threetunetuesday
A big wee country inspired ttt
Big Country - In A Big Country
Stuart Admanson the lead singer was in one of my favourite punk bands The Skids which predated Big Country. Big Country were all the rage for a while.
They were from Fife and I know a girl who dated him back in the day.
In a Big Country was released in May 1983 as the third single from their debut album The Crossing.
Big Country - Fields Of Fire
No 500 miles from the Proclaimers this is Big Country and their 400 miles and Fields of Fire!
I am not sure if I have made a three tune tuesday post about songs from Big Country.
Ah well I have now!
Big Country - Wonderland
There were a few songs I could have picked especially from theier first and second albums but I have decided on Wonderland.
Apart from being a good tune, it was released ago as a single 40 years ago this month.
The ninth of January and it was after their first album and before their second studio album.
It was inluced on their Greatest Hits albums but never actually made it onto a studio album.
Stuart Adamson like so many musicians took his own life. So sad.
I hope that you enjoyed these tunes.
Which was your favourite (if any) ?
Note: The three YouTube videos that I have shared are not owned by me, I am simply spreading great music on Hive.
I wish that you all have a brilliant rest of your week, and until we meet again enjoy your tunes 🎶🎵🎶
Thanks for visiting and I wish you all a terrific 2024 full of everything you wish for.
