Musical Monday: Rata Blanca (2). Guerrero del Arco Iris

Feliz lunes, feliz semana, feliz mes de Septiembre 2024, y hoy estamos nuevamente con otro MUSICAL MONDAY, la iniciativa musical creada por @eugelys, en donde podemos compartir toda experiencia o gusto musical, sin importar que seamos o no músicos.

Happy Monday, happy week, happy month of September 2024, and today we are again with another MUSICAL MONDAY, the musical initiative created by @eugelys, where we can share any musical experience, no matter if we are or not musicians.

Semanas atrás, en otra estupenda iniciativa musical, compartí con todos ustedes un album de la gran banda Argentina de rock RATA BLANCA. En esa ocasión, les hablé de un disco que me gusta mucho de esa banda, y hoy, les he traído otro, que me gusta igual: MUCHÍSIMO, es un disco emblemático, y se trata de GUERRERO DEL ARCO IRIS, producción del año 1991, siendo el tercer álbum de la banda.

Weeks ago, in another great musical initiative, I shared with all of you an album by the great Argentine rock band RATA BLANCA. [On that occasion](https://peakd.com/hive-193816/@sirenahippie/rata-blanca-1-songs-that-make-me-think-and-feel-three-tune-tuesday-week-167 -mh), I told you about an album that I really like from that band, and today, I brought you another one, that I like the same: VERY MUCH, it is an emblematic album, and it is GUERRERO DEL ARCO IRIS, production from 1991, being the band's third album.

Este disco lo adquirí junto con otros de la banda, y es, al igual que el anterior, un disco pirata, o sea, una copia, ya que en ese tiempo era muy difícil conseguir discos originales en donde vivo; sin embargo es un cd con buena calidad de grabación, y presenta los datos esenciales del original, como es una hermosa portada, por el revés se puede leer la lista de las nueve canciones, todas escritas y compuestas por Walter Giardino, el líder de la banda, aunque algunas en coautoría con otros miembros de RATA BLANCA.

I acquired this album along with others from the band, and it is, like the previous one, a pirate album, that is, a copy, since at that time it was very difficult to get original albums where I live; however, it is a CD with good recording quality, and presents the essential data of the original, such as a beautiful cover, on the back you can read the list of the nine songs, all written and composed by Walter Giardino, the leader of the band, although some songs are in co-authorship with other members of RATA BLANCA.

Me gusta mucho la dedicatoria que RATA BLANCA hace en este disco, la cual dice textualmente: Dedicado a: Nuestras familias, nuestros amigos, a todos nuestros fans, a Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, Paganini y Deep Purpple, son unas líneas sencillamente ¡geniales! Y también me gusta mucho que Adrián Barilari sea el vocalista en este disco. Dicho esto, veamos mis tres canciones de hoy.

I really like the dedication that RATA BLANCA makes on this album, which says verbatim: Dedicated to: Our families, our friends, to all our fans, to Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, Paganini and Deep Purpple, are simply great lines! And I also really like that Adrián Barilari is the vocalist on this album. With that said, let's look at my three songs today.

Mis canciones para este Musical Monday / My songs for this Musical Monday

Quiero iniciar este MUSICAL MONDAY, con la canción que da nombre al disco: GUERRERO DEL ARCO IRIS, pues creo que es una de las más importantes de esta producción, no sólo por su estupenda música, que es un heavy rock, con un sonido de guitarras espectacular y una batería que no se queda atrás, pero es que su letra es MAGNÍFICA y PROFUNDA, ya que hace un llamado a la humanidad, a todos y cada uno de los humanos que habitamos este planeta, a responsabilizarnos y a proteger nuestro medio ambiente. En el video official de esta canción, Rata Blanca agradece a la ONG Green Pace por su trabajo en defensa del medio ambiente, y la dedica a todos los guerreros del arco iris, o sea a cada humano que defienda a la Madre Tierra. Aquí les comparto ese video, en el que pueden ver imágenes de la embarcación Rainbow Warrior, la cual perteneció a esta organización, y la que se utilizó en muchas acciones y protestas hechas por Green Pace, para defender los ecosistemas y especies marinas de la depredación humana, hasta que fue hundida en 1985. Realmente es una gran canción, con un mensaje urgente y fundamental, con el cual me identifico mucho. Es un estupendo video, espero lo disfruten y sepan apreciar.

I want to start this MUSICAL MONDAY, with the song that gives its name to the album: GUERRERO DEL ARCO IRIS, because I think it is one of the most important of this production, not only because its wonderful music, which is heavy rock, with a spectacular guitar sound and a drum that is not far behind, but its lyrics are MAGNIFICENT and DEEP, since it makes a call to humanity, to each and every one of we humans who inhabit this planet, take responsibility and protect our environment. In the official video of this song, Rata Blanca thanks the NGO Green Pace for its work in defense of the environment, and dedicates it to all the warriors of the rainbow, that is, to every human who defends Mother Earth. Here I share that video, in which you can see images of the Rainbow Warrior boat, which belonged to this organization, and which was used in many actions and protests carried out by Green Pace, to defend ecosystems and marine species from predation human, until it was sunk in 1985. It really is a great song, with an urgent and fundamental message, with which I identify a lot. It's a great video, I hope you enjoy it and appreciate it.

Mi segunda canción de hoy, es una que oigo cuando me siento derrotada o cansada en la vida, es la estupenda ÁNGELES DE ACERO, un heavy metal, en el que Giardino se luce con unos solos de guitarra increíblemente buenos, y la batería es espectacular también. Pero, como muchas de las canciones de RATA BLANCA, lo que más me gusta es su letra, que es una oda a la perseverancia y a la fe en uno mismo. Un pedacito de la letra dice así: Nunca pensaste / Qué sucede / Con una ilusión / No te detengas / Dale forma / Dentro de vos /Si no vives tu vida, quizás / Muera tu ser Solo vos lograrás / Que tu sueño sea real / Con tu verdad. Aquí les dejo con cariño, el video de una presentación de la banda en vivo, y un audio con su respectiva letra.

My second song today is one that I listen to when I feel defeated or tired in life, it is the wonderful ANGELS OF STEEL, a heavy metal, in which Giardino shines with some incredibly guitar solos good, and the drums is spectacular too. But, like many of RATA BLANCA's songs, what I like most is its lyrics, which are an ode to perseverance and faith in oneself. A little piece of the lyrics says like this: You never thought / What happens / With an illusion / Don't stop / Give it shape / Within you / If you don't live your life, perhaps / Your being will die Only you will achieve / That your dream is real / With your truth. Here I leave you with love, the video of a live performance of the band, and an audio with its respective lyrics.

Y cerrando mi trilogía del MUSICAL MONDAY de hoy, les comparto la hermosa balada rock NOCHE SIN SUEÑOS. Aquí la guitarra, la batería y la voz de Barilari son magistrales. Es una balada con una letra bella, excelente, poética, pero más que de amor, refleja tristeza por el amor perdido. Les comparto dos videos, uno en vivo, y el otro el audio de la canción.

And closing my MUSICAL MONDAY trilogy today, I share with you the beautiful rock ballad NOCHE SIN SUEÑOS. Here the guitar, drums and Barilari's voice are masterful. It is a ballad with beautiful, excellent, poetic lyrics, but more than love, it reflects sadness for lost love. I share two videos, one live, and the other the audio of the song.
