Three Tune Tuesday #167 .:. Messer Chups — pt.4

I did not listen to music this Tuesday, let me confess... but today's morning slipped into my playlist some Messer Chups tunes - which simply made my day! As usual, I follow the habit of shaping my playlist highlights into the #ttt post.

Messer Chups - Surf de L'amour

(official video; from «Taste the Blood of Guitaracula» LP, 2017)

They released this trashy video to promote the music, but the tune is a gem
itself, with or without video, simply 10/10!

Messer Chups - Tchaikosky beat

(from «Vamp Babes» LP, 2004)

Are you fond of classic music, havent you heard any stuff from the genius Russian composer Petr Tchaikovsky? Here you may work out this gap in your music education. 😉 I have a mixed feelings about this tune, but all positive! (And one of them is, that Sergei Kuryokhin's seeds generously scattered in the musical soil, did not gone to waste - this tune is being a convincing example of that). Preparing this post, I was surprised to find out the tune was used in the 'Atomic Heart' soundtrack ('Trapped in Limbo' DLC). Perfect fit! Sadly there is no matching video to this gorgeous fantasy - nor official, neither unofficial. 🙃 So, take it as it is, maybe even better this way: more room to your fantasy!

Messer Chups - Electric Zombierella

(official video; from «New Wave of Surf Wave» EP, 2021)

As an old chap grown on post-pank wave music (Kino, Cure, Duran Duran, Siouxsie etc) I cannot but stick to this momentarily! She sings just like old Debbie Harry style. Coincidence? I doubt that. 😎 Anyway I love it !!! Song 9/10, clip 10/10.

I hope you enjoyed today's music selection, and travelling around the globe without leaving the Hive. 😎 The post goes for Three Tune Tuesday challenge run by @ablaze. You are a big fan of Messers Chups! I must admit I should listen to more classical music, I didnt see the connection with this though? This Atomic Heart 70s style rhythm gets addictive ! I missed my TTT tune this week but have been listening to Mr Kitty!

O, really?! They build their track upon the famous March of Rat king from 'Nutcracker's ballet:

😜

You are a big fan of Messers Chups!

I 'd rather say I am a big fan of vintage/surf/reverb sound, a-la The Ventures. And Messeerchups, franly, exploit this goldmine a lot - but totally in correct way! Glad you appreciated my post, thank you really! 🥰🥰🥰🎈🎈

!BEER and !PIZZA your way, Sir.

Ah yes , now I hear it very well! Apart from my ignorance, I probably dont know it so well as Tchaikovsky's other stuff like Swan Lake because I could never get into The Nutcracker. It sure makes you want to go to watch a ballet again!

because I could never get into The Nutcracker...

so, Messerchups helped you to remember about the Golden Classics - well, I hope so, at least in this lesser form. The music is wonderful, and simplified / adopted exactly by the likes of a modern auditoria, isnt it? (frankly, I could never stand ballet or opera - this pleasure is simply beyond me, I 100% fall asleep watching it!)

Nothing but !LUV 🎈

yeah, many ballet and opera can be boring, you have to watch the good ones to get into them. I saw an opera in English once, and it sounded just like people were shouting! 😅 Give me Italian and not understanding a word and its music to my ears! LOL

The first one the video seriously sucks but the music is great, good pick!

The second was interesting using elements of Tchaikovsky, not too bad!

Now the third one I loved, very Debbie Harry style singing! I liked Zombierella, that was a great tune! You found some cool stuff!

!BEER

Always glad to entertain you. Here is a !BEER back, my friend.
