Greetings!
To people that love music, I know it's not only me who wakes up and decides to play a rough, hot, and funny track to match the mood the day brings. Yeah, I know I'm not the only one.
I woke up very early, picked up my phone to write, and, as usual, one of the vibes I like to attach to writing is my phone giving me good music. So, when I picked up my phone and opened my music list, I decided to play from my recent downloads. Oh yeah, I'm a fan of downloading and playing, not streaming (playing on popular streaming apps).
My most recent download is "Ozeba" by Rema, which was somehow pushed into my list by @empressjay.
I've been hearing the song ever since it was released a few weeks ago but was never moved to add it to my playlist until this lady punched it in. The song is rough with rhythm and blends everything, but it's very entertaining to listen to, especially when one is high or wants to get high. It's a Nigerian song done in simple English and mixed with Pidgin, which under normal circumstances, should flow with it. But in this one, Rema was doing his thing in another form, twisting his voice like someone being manipulated by all the hard stuff in this world. Lol.
Like I said, it's a song for the boys, it's a song for the season, and a song for someone that wants to get high. No attention to the lyrics, just shake your head and dance.
The next one on my playlist is "Commend" by Odumodublvck. This guy has been trending for three years, but among all his tracks, this is my favorite.
The lyrics have some foul words, which makes it unfit for official functions like radio, but the composition is top-notch. I can't get enough of the chorus, and the verses were totally 'murdered' with words, even if they're bad words. Odumodublvck is just good, and he's also the guy for the moment as long as trendy music is concerned in Nigeria. The song has no standard video yet; it’s only available in a somewhat stage performance, or maybe that's called an acoustic performance, I'm not sure. I like the video too.
"Playboy" by Fireboy DML comes next. No lies, I've recently been cruising, downloading new songs, and skipping my old favorites for a while. When this was released, I didn't really get into it until one of my favorite female football stars used it in one of her videos, and that was it.
The song is good, talking about being a playboy, and unfortunately, I'm not a playboy. I just like the vibes in the music. The video is so entertaining too, seeing Rema and a BBN star joining him.
So yeah, this is my entry for #ThreeTuneTuesday. In case you don't know what it is all about, read below:
Every Tuesday, I'm going to share three songs that I like to listen to, and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post, and I'll come and find the post and upvote it? If you could also use the #threetunetuesday tag, that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize. By @ablaze.
