Going To See Cradle of Filth Tomorrow - TTT

in Music17 days ago

We're looking forward to the gig, but I have to admit, I've never really listened to them. Not that I'm not a fan of theirs, there's no real reason I have listened to them before, they've always been on my radar, but I've just never gotten into them.

Cradle of Filth - Nyphetamine Fix

This song is fairly cool, and is pretty much the only one of theirs I know, just from being played by someone while having a few drinks over the years.

It has a fairly cool tone, and in some ways has the haunting/ erie sound with the use of the choir like harmonies.

It kind of reminds me of Children of Bodem, except way slower. Not bad all round, it's weird though to have something sound like it should be at least three times faster, yet it remains with a lower BPM.

Cradle of Filth - Her Ghost In The Fog

At this point I'm kind of going by whatever came up when I typed in Cradle of Filth.

This song is fairly cool, but kind of haunting. I have no idea what to expect tomorrow, and I'm not really sure what kind of music this is supposed to be.

I thought they were a metal band, but they're kind of something else. They're not Death Metal, or Black Metal, I'm not really sure what subgenre they'd fit in. Goth kind of stuff? I have no idea.

Not bad, but also weird.

Cradle of Filth - The Death of Love

Again, another random one that came up near the top of the results.

They're not bad, and I think tomorrow night should be eventful.

I'm assuming nobody is going to be moshing, or dancing in general. Maybe a few nodders, and a few people doing the goth kid shuffle.

I'll have to just play it by ear, and have a few pints. I'll either come out really liking them, or I'll decide I never want to hear another of their songs again.

Sort:

Man I spent a year in British Columbia painting cars and getting absolutely fucked up all the time while listening to an enormous amount of CoF. Good times 😂

I hope you have a blast!

Sending you an Ecency curation vote!

That should an interesting gig and probably quite theatrical.

It's not my usual sort of music, but some of it is fun. I saw Mr Filth play with his other band Devilment when I took my daughter to see Motionless in White and Lacuna Coil. The friend she was going with couldn't go and she didn't want to go on her own. She likes a mix of pop and metal.
