For some reason I was feeling lazy today. Not only today, but this whole week. I missed my planned Sunday run and one thing led to another and all of a sudden its Thursday and I hadn't exercised once. So after dinner I summon my willpower, strap on my shoes, put in my headphones and start up this new playlist i'd made the night before, and head out door.
I chose these songs, because I like them, and because they're all around 170 beats per minute, which is about the pace I jog at. This was the fist time I tried something like this and it was really cool as my foot hit the ground in time with the beat. I ended up running about 5 kilometers.
Checking some stats I was happy to see my heart rate in my target of Zone 2 for most of the run. My general goal is to get at least 150 minutes of Zone 2 cardio per week. I got some catching up to do before Saturday but this was a good start.
By the end of the day, through some house work, gardening, and daily moving around I logged over 16,000 steps. Its the first this week I got above 10,000 steps. I'm happy I got out there today, working on making running a habit. Have a good one everyone.
I took these photos on Thursday, February 8 with an iPhone SE (second generation)
