We had some great weather on Friday with clear blue skies. Unfortunately, I spent most of the day either inside or driving from place to place, and not moving a whole bunch.
In the evening after dinner I felt tired and lazy, but I laced up my sneakers and headed out for a run anyway.
The above stats come from the Apple fitness and Strava apps. Despite feeling lethargic, I pushed myself to shorten my stride and quicken my pace. I was happy to check these stats at the end of the run and see some improvements in both my average cadence and pace from my last run on Wednesday. I hit my goal of getting under 7 minutes per kilometer. My heart was working harder with my heart rate primarily in zone 3, my aim is to stay for the majority of the time in zone 2. If I continue to regularly run I expect to see that as my fitness improves.
As I write this I clocked a total of 11,389 steps on Friday. I'm really happy I pushed through the laziness and went on that run. Stacking good habits.
