For those of us wondering whether Actifit is an effective way to monitor our fitness levels, there is now scientific evidence that it is.
Research says that 30-40 minutes of moderate to intense exercise per day can eliminate the negative health effects of a highly sedentary life.
It takes me about an hour or more to complete 5,000 steps, so doing 5,000 Actifit steps on a daily basis is more than enough.
The World Health Organization recommends anything between 3 to 6 hours of moderate activity per week to take our bodies back to normal from sitting all day long.
Again, 5,000 steps on Actifit every day can help you exceed the recommendation of the WHO.
This is a piece of cake for Actifitters who are used to doing a couple of thousand steps in one go.
As a bonus, I uploaded a photo showing a star decoration on the wall of a building.
It has been left there since Christmas.
