Silvertop didn’t see this coming………….
Yesterday’s hike with Liz……..
Bluy skies, a light breeze blowing through the trees, one couldn’t have asked for nicer weather!😎
“ Is it really raining today Liz? “🙄
Nope………………Silvertop isn’t going to stack firewood in the rain today Lol!😅
Last Fall my iPhone SE 2020 started haveing problems with the screen…………
Heavy lines would appear, making the iPhone all but impossible to use!😮
I finally broke down and had Liz order me a new iPhone SE!
This new phone has a better camera, and double the storage capacity at 128G!😊
Last Christmas one of Silvertop’s gifts from the Mrs was a complete iPhone screen replacement kit for my original ill SE2020! 🤗
This type of repair would be a first.
Liz and Silvertop have tag teamed together, to replace her older iPhones battery……. twice!😇
Just the battery………….
Today’s “operation” required not only replacing the complete screen, but transferring the camera, all sensors, and the touch home button!😬
These repair/ replacement kits don’t come with paper instructions, the Mrs pulled up a YouTube video on her phone.
Step by step we disassembled this phone………
Stop, rewind, that’s the beauty of videos, you can rewatch over and over each step!😇
So many very tiny screws…………
Most of these are all different lengths, and it’s imperative that these screws be laid out in the correct order, and replaced in the same!🙄
Two and one half hours later, on a gloomy rainy day, Silvertop was putting the last two screws in the cover, we were ready to hit the power button………
The iPhone lit up…………….
Vivid color filled the home screen………
All photos were still on the phone, the camera, and the fingerprint home button worked!😊
With Liz’s help today, we were successful! 🥰
The “surgery” was a success!🤗
The phone has a new lease on life!
On the left, in the last photo, is my older iPhone SE!
“ Thanks Honey, we did it, the iPhone works! “🥰
“ I sure hope we don’t need to repair any more iPhones soon Lol! “ 😳
