My actifit fitness walk today took me from home at Ikot Ekwere Itam to the office at Ikpa road.
Ikpa road use to be a busy road especially with the University of Uyo student's activities going on around the plaza, but due to the economic downturn being experienced the road looks less busy.
As I walk the street I noticed that the vehicular activities is without any gridlock usually experience at this spot.
Even the fuel station witness a free drive in and out without any queue that usually extend even into the road.
Well I choose to continue to walk enjoying the scenery.
I spent the other two hours in the office attending to some office matters.
I then took another walk after getting through with my office work. I walk to Etuk street market to buy rice for the family consumption. While at the plaza, I also noticed that the streets hawkers have display their products but it appears that patronage is lacking as they keep calling on every passersby to have a look at the products.
Finally I got to my customer's place at Etuk and I found out that the price of rice has gone up again.
As long as we must eat I had no choice than to buy but with a reduce quantity from what I intend buying.
I finally took my walk back home and then settle to compose this post. Meanwhile I have make over 4200 steps to keep fit and healthy.
