Another busy day. I had to visit a number of shops to try and see what fencing supplies were available. My son wants to make a few changes to his front chain wire fence, but it's pretty old, and getting suitable parts was that not easy.
One of the shops I visited had a trained black cockatoo sitting on its sales counter. It was amazing! such a strong and striking bird. It was munching a small tree branch with ease.
I really like their red tail feather amoust all that black. There are rare to see in the wild in these parts. It is said that they don't come around very often. They like to eat an area out, then do not return for years.
We saw lots a few years ago in the nature reserve but nothing since, so they might be right.
This farming shop was also selling a few other animals.
I visited the dump as well to dispose of some old oil out of the car after I serviced it last month. We are lucky the dump is free, but I am sure we pay extra in our council fees to cover its operational costs. I hope you had a good day.
