Last year we had a ring lailed possum living and making a ratchet in my shed. I ended up catching it in a little house I made out of an old plastic milk crate. I then carried the milk crate complete with the possum covered over with a blanket in my wheelbarrow down the bush not far from our house.
I made few modifications to the shed where I thought it was getting in and out but a month or so later, we started hearing possum noises again.
Luckily I still had the milk crate set up. I have no idea if it is the same possum but this time I got the work ute out and drive him or her to a nature area much further away. It took a while once I opened my little trap, but eventually, the possum shot out, climbed the nearest tree, and just looked at me.
It probably was not that happy, but the bush has to be a way better home than in my shed with all my old junk.
After the possum realise we had a walk down at Oyster Point, no oyster to be seen but it was a nice walk.
We ended up passing the ferry terminal as well. Now that would be a good little trip that I have not done for ages.
