Rainy Day Rundown: The Indoor Jogger's Saga #wednesdaywalk
Oh, rainy days, how I loathe your ability to soak through my spirits as well as my clothes. For someone who generally avoids the treadmill like telemarketers, today's downpour cornered me into a cardio compromise. Because nothing screams “I love working out” like running in place while staring at a wall, right?
Rainy weather gear? Who needs it when you've got the trusty ol' indoor treadmill! It’s always a joy to shuffle from my cozy bed to the mechanical dreadmill—excuse me, treadmill—knowing I could have been splashing through puddles and enjoying the great outdoors. Instead, I get to listen to the monotonous drone of rubber belts and my own sighs of resignation. And just when I thought my day couldn’t get any more thrilling, my bladder decided to join the pity party. Yep, nothing complements a good indoor jog like a bladder infection. Talk about adding insult to injury!
You'll know it's me on these joyous indoor workout sessions—I’m the one with sunglasses perched on my head. No, the shades aren’t for style nor do they hint at my hair color, which, by the way, is definitely not your weather forecast barometer. They're my vain attempt to hide from the reality that my living room has now become my personal gym.
So how did I wrap up this day of moisture and misery? By retreating to the sanctuary of my bed, surrounded by the comforting embrace of my blankets, far away from any rain-soaked or sweat-drenched clothing. Here's to hoping for a sunny tomorrow, or at least a dry laundry day
And to all of you: thanks for reading my post
