Beat the Heat with a Morning Ride & Fun in the Sun!
(This is my very first video upload for Actifit, and I'm so excited I can finally share it as an iOS user!)
The village was quiet and peaceful as I enjoyed a brisk bike ride this morning.
The sun was already high, promising a scorcher.
In fact, there's a weather alert for tonight - code orange for severe thunderstorms, heavy winds, rain, thunder, and even hail!
Securing the Home Before the Storm
After dinner, I'll need to secure everything outside to avoid any runaway umbrellas or flowerpot casualties from the strong winds and hail.
Looks like I have a big job ahead tonight!
School Fun & Beating the Heat
But first, school!
Knowing today is going to be hot, I'll make sure the kids get plenty of playtime outside to burn off some energy.
Speaking of energy, a little help with prepping the fruit would be much appreciated!
Rainy Day Fun: Building Indoor Forts!
With the holidays here, there's more time for fun activities.
Today, we built some awesome indoor forts with sheets for the kids to play in.
They have a coloring tent, a car tent, a reading tent, and more!
Thanks to the air conditioning, they can stay cool and comfy inside their creations.
Cooling Down with Ice Cream
To make sure they stay refreshed, we ended the day with some delicious ice cream.
The perfect treat for a hot day!
Delivery Delay & Homeward Bound
Unfortunately, my plans got a little sidetracked as our changing table delivery was delayed.
An extra hour later, the driver finally arrived.
But hey, the wait was worth it - the table will look great in our new group room!
Time to head home now, as this unexpected delay threw off my evening schedule.
First things first: dinner for the boys, then prep for the storm.
While the forecast sounds intense, severe weather usually bypasses my house.
Fingers crossed for a peaceful night!
Wrapping Up
As I write this, I'm curious to see what the evening brings, but I'm confident I'll be tucked away in bed soon.
