15,138 Steps: A Day to Remember at De Efteling
Today was an absolute whirlwind!
I knew De Efteling would be a day of walking, but 15,138 steps truly exceeded my expectations.
The amusement park's huge 72 hectares meant there was a lot of territory to cover to see it all.
Before even stepping inside, I was greeted by the park's iconic entrance.
Towering, pointed roofs are a sight to see.
I was here for the exhilarating roller coasters, not for the landscape!
We have been leaning toward the more exciting attractions because my children are somewhat older, and I am right there with them.
A little adventure has an energizing effect.
De Efteling boasts six roller coasters, and I managed to conquer all of them at least once, with a few repeat rides thrown in for good measure.
Let's dive into the highlights:
- Python: A classic with two loops, the Python still holds its own as one of the top coasters in the park.
- Joris en de Draak:This wooden coaster is a speed demon, sending riders soaring through the air at breakneck speeds.
- Baron 1898: The ultimate thrill-seeker's ride.
The initial drop into the black hole is an adrenaline rush like no other.
I couldn't resist going twice!
Other Notable Coasters: Vogel Rok (an all-dark experience), De Vliegende Hollander (a water coaster), and Max & Moritz (a family-friendly option).
To combat the heat, I indulged in a refreshing ice cream.
And for dinner, a delicious durum doner kebab hit the spot.
By the end of the day, my legs and feet were clearly tired from all that walking; but, the amazing experiences were well worth it.
Wishing you all the best in life and much health.
