A Day of Contrasts: From Baby Chaos to Theatrical Bliss
Sometimes a day promises immense joy, whether it's a special occasion or the anticipation of a quiet, relaxing time.
Today was one of those days.
I had a light workload and a delightful evening planned with my sister-in-law at the theater.
I get all happy when I step inside. The extravagant decor and grandeur impress me every time.
And this is just the hallway I am showing you.
My morning began as expected: a tranquil start, multitasking between work on my laptop and caring for the first baby of the day.
The little ones in my care need ample space to explore.
I believe in free movement as much as possible to stimulate their development, rather than confining them to playpens.
Some are incredibly mobile, demanding constant attention.
It's exhausting but invigorating, keeping me alert and adaptable.
The foggy and freezing weather kept us indoors initially.
While the children enjoyed themselves, the youngest ones became restless, their sleep and feeding disrupted.
We decided to brave the ice cold air.
Bundling everyone up for a walk is a mini-operation!
It took about 15-20 minutes, but the fresh air did wonders.
Despite the -2°C temperature, the brisk walk warmed us all up.
After work, I enjoyed a quick dinner before heading to the theater.
Thanks to my brother's work, I occasionally get to enjoy theater performances with my sister-in-law, especially those he's not interested in.
"Casa Mia," a musical about three women inheriting a Sicilian villa, offered the perfect blend of drama and humor.
The luxurious seats, with a small table for drinks, added to the experience.
The evening was further enhanced by complimentary drinks and appetizers, including prawns, goat cheese, and delectable Dutch treats, called "Bitterballen".
The foggy drive home added a touch of thrill.
Despite the slippery, dark and foggy roads, I wasn't going to let anything dampen the joy of the evening.
I hope to savor many more such evenings at the theater.
Goodnight, and sweet dreams to all!
Wishing you all the best in life and much health.
