My Actifit Report Card: July 11 2024

in Actifit2 months ago

As i visisted my farm yesterday, what i saw left me in amazement because, it was just 3 weeks ago that i planted both corn(maize) and cassava including okro.

To me, the plants should be tender but as i visited the farm, the rapid growth of those plants amazed me.

Take a look at how big they have grown. And the amazing part of it is that i haven't even apply any manure to it. Now am imagining how these vegetables would be in the next few days if i should apply manure to them.

Therefore, i went back home and took money to a nearby manure seller so as to purchase some or few paints for my farm. Feel free to view the one i bought.

What you're seeing there is 3 paints of fertilizer that i purchased. Looking at the crops, plants and veggies, its obvious that they have overly mature for manure application. Therefore, let me show you how i applied manure to each of them.

First and foremost, i opened the ground in-between and then pour a handful measure of fertilizer into the ground and then close it.

You may be wondering why? Because, if you're from our part of the world, you'll believe with me that many do pour fertilizer or manure on top the soil without opening the ground and if you're observant, you'll also notice that once it rain, water will flush away the fertilizer. So, to avoid such mess, my parents taught me that opening of the ground before pouring fertilizer and closing it thereafter is the best thing to do.

I think, i learnt something sweet and important from my dear able parents. Whats your opinion?

Now, let me take you on a tour round all the veggies, crops, and plants i planted in my farm.

First is cassava. Have you ever see cassava before? If no, its time for you to appreciate me for showing you what cassava is. This is it. Lolz.

Next in line is Maize: Maize is something i cant afford to miss in my farm yearly. I so much love and appreciate maize. To help you understand the level of my love for maize, let me show you something.

What do you see up there? Hahaha, after planting the first one same day that i planted those cassava up there, squirrel ate them all without my notice. It was 7days later, when i came to check on my plants, that i discovered what happened and there was no leftover maize.

4 days later, I replanted the corn because i don't want to fall short of corn this year. Hahahaha, i must chop maize to my satisfaction. Normally, maize suppose to be taller than cassava, but because the cassava had already grown before i plant the maize, thats why its smaller. But irrespective of that, i need to eat maize. At least, it will produce the one i will eat. Lolz.

Another thing that i planted in the farm is Okra.

As i visited the farm yesterday, i discovered that insects have started eating the leaves. Therefore, within the week, i must spread insecticide on them.

Last week, i planted cucumber and some have germinate. Maybe, other ones are waiting for this ones to start producing before they'll germinate lolz.
