Hey Actifitters,
We didn't plan anything special for this Saturday, so the day went like routine. Once again, Le Chat was extremely happy about it!
But of course, she got excited when her sister showed up.
They even leaped into action exploring behind the front yard. Jumping like that, Le Chat doesn't look like she just turned 11!
We started our daily walk with Kaia earlier than usual. The clouds were quite menacing at that time.
With the cool temperature, in the high 50s/low 60s F (around 15C), very few mosquitoes in the forest, so nice!
We went a little off-trail to hunt for mushrooms, and found some cool trees.
Without any mosquitoes to bother us, we could visit trails that we hadn't for a while.
That area was nicely cleaned just a few weeks ago. Impressive how nature reclaimed it so fast!
After a nice walk, Kaia started us on the way back.
But she got distracted by two deer. They got her confused by fleeing in opposite directions, and she didn't know which one to follow.
I was able to zoom in on one of them, it was a young fawn, apparently waiting a little further for us to leave, so it could get back with the other one, probably its mother.
So we did, and we could see hints of sun through the canopy.
The weather was definitely changing, so blue and brighter than when we started.
Le Chat greeted us in the front yard like a dog. She grew up with Genepi, maybe she thinks she's part dog.
It had been quite a while but it was the perfect day for espressos on the deck. The deck was a bit overtaken by spiders, but they left us a few spots.
After a few more things, it was time for a run. My longest one this season, 8 miles at a good pace. Like I already said, so much easier when the temperature is cool!
Again, nothing special, but a good day nonetheless.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
