Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday I wasn't as good as the day before to wake up earlier. But we made up the time and quickly started our activities. Guess how we started? Of course, some time in the yard with the two furry clowns. I said it many times, but they really crack me up!
Since I knew the weather was going to stay hot till late, there was no point waiting till evening for our daily walk. So off we went to the small forest behind the front yard first.
More play time for Kaia and Le Chat. But can you see the mosquitoes? Even Le Chat kept swatting at them. I think it was the worst I've ever seen there.
Next step as usual was the forest.
No surprise, even more mosquitoes in the forest. A constant buzzing around your ears, and of course lots of biting. I can't stand this. So the decision was already made: at the first major intersection, where you can see Kaia wondering where to go, we'd make a left to follow the short trail.
Same conclusion at the next intersection: let's keep it short in the forest.
I think even Kaia was eager to get out.
We did add a little distance in the neighborhood. A few mosquitoes tried to follow, but they eventually gave up. Finally!
Another advantage of the shorter walk is that it left me plenty of time for a bike ride. That's my go-to activity when I want to stay active but feel it's too hot for anything else. And as often, this was also an opportunity for sunset photos. Plenty of great view points on the route I chose.
I even made a detour near the golf course, but it seems a couple of clouds were getting ready to spoil the show.
And it was confirmed when I passed by the school. The show, although still beautiful, was almost over because of these big clouds.
So no more breaks until another one of my favorite photo spots.
The ducks seem much calmer than last time. I realized it was probably dinner time when I saw them all with their heads underwater.
Yes I can very predictable with my photos, but no way I could skip this view of the buildings on the other side!
And that was almost it for the day's activities. I really wanted to finish the first leg of the #Macfit relay, so I made sure to add a couple more thousands steps in the yard. I actually added significantly more than I needed. Well, there's no such thing as too many steps!
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
