Hey Actifitters,
The heat wave we've been hearing about for a few days was definitely upon us yesterday, with highs in the upper 90s F (somewhere above 36C) and lots of humidity (90+ %). For Kaia and I, anything above 65F is already too hot! So of course, we took it easy during the day. We used the same technique: lots of short breaks in the yard.
Just before nightfall, I thought maybe we could try a walk with Kaia. We asked Le Chat if she wanted to join. Her facial expression said it all: "Are you crazy?? I'm staying right here..."
So we left her there and slowly headed to the forest. Even after 9pm, it was still about 85F (about 30C). Yes I know, for some countries, that ain't that bad, but it is for us. I'd take -25C over that heat any day!
It was a shorter version of our usual walks, shorter loop on the trails and shorter Cubiverse vaults detour.
We saw deer on the way back, but it was too dark and they were moving too much. All my photos were just dark and blurry. But before we arrived home, we met another furry friend. She didn't join us earlier on our walk, but Le Chat did greet us a block from home and finished the last part with us.
Well the first day of this heat wave is over. It will definitely reduce my daily step count. I just noticed the last two days, I barely went over the bar for #poprzeczka competition. Let's hope I don't drop it in the next few days.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
