Hey Actifitters,
After a couple of rainy and slower days, yesterday started very sunny and was quite active. We started with a morning walk with Sam of course. So much better to go up the trail in the forest when it's sunny!
Sam definitely thought so!
Once again, the idea was to quickly go on the open fields.
But this time, we added several detours for more distance.
And so Sam could run free. Weeeeee!
In the afternoon, the sky was much more menacing, but for once we trusted the forecast, which said 'no rain' and started another much longer walk.
We started in some of the fields, but went much further.
Could we get any sun through these thick clouds?
Unfortunately not really, but we kept going and found this steep downhill trail.
It led us to this pond where we used to bring some of our previous dogs. I remember one especially who jumped in it while it was partially frozen. I like cold, but that was just crazy. It also looked much cleaner in the past.
Anyways, we kept going even further to find this stream crossing a small road.
Even Sam who's not a big fan of water, at least compared to most dogs I know, had lots of fun!
After about 2 full hours, it was time to walk back. It almost looked as though we may even have a sunset.
We found a shortcut through another trail.
That's the very first roundabout I find in the middle of a forest...
Again, no luck on the sunset as that's the best we got. Pretty colors though.
At the end of the day, that's one of my best step counts in a while. It wasn't a technical or difficult walk, just long, with cool trails and scenery. Just what we needed.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
