The whole house is smelling like a baker's kitchen 😅
Finally some orders have started and this round we need to do the butterscotch glaze for an order, and the other one is plain Walnut almond.
Our baking was supposed to only start on January 01, the start of the year, but my friend has decided to order it for Christmas this round with extra glazing.
Unfortunately, I think because the glaze is more, the saltiness is more prominent so the cookies ended up saltier than sweet, so there are some adjustments needed for the next order.
Good thing that I got extra butterscotch chocolate lying around so I can try to tone down the saltiness with additional butterscotch chocolate granules.
Furthermore, because this is the first time I am doing with glaze, we found out that we can't squeeze all the cookies in; so with glaze, it is actually lesser in weight. So instead of more expensive for glaze, we made it the same price but slightly lighter. Around 3 cookies less.
But the price MYR28 is still a good ring to it. I'm Cantonese it is "yee fat" , meaning easy to prosper. 😊
What do you think?
Are these cookies well presented for a yummy treat? 😋
I actually still like the saltier version because it is salted butterscotch after all; but I guess I should tone down the salt to have that "hint" of savory.
Oh it goes well with the coffee still!
